About

Beginnings

Jennifer Parker has been in Colorado since the age of six. Living first in Aurora her father moved the family to Fort Collins in order to start a manufacturing business. Jennifer graduated from Rocky Mountain High School then went on to obtain a degree in Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. Jennifer loved working with young people and started her career working with children who had emotional trauma due to abuse and neglect. She later moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where she worked as an Intervention Specialist in a group home for young women ages 13-18. Upon witnessing the trauma that these children and their families had endured, she felt there was more of a need for healing in this population than could be achieved with behavior modification and talk therapy protocols.

After starting her own family, while living in California and homeschooling her daughters, she began her massage therapy journey in 2007 when she entered the Healing Arts Institute in Citrus Heights. After finishing an excellent 140-hour program under the instruction of the amazing Dr. James Mally, she relocated back to Colorado and began a 600-hour program at the US Career Institute. Upon graduation, Jennifer became a licensed massage therapist and promptly started her own practice naming it THRIVE Massage while also doing spa work on the side which she also absolutely loved.

Additional Training

In 2010, Jennifer traveled to Seattle, WA to learn pediatric massage therapy from the beautiful Tina Allen of Liddle Kidz. Becoming very interested in working with orthopedic injuries and people in chronic pain, Jennifer became a Medical Massage Therapist in 2012 with LMT Success Group. Along the way, Jennifer studied Reiki with the amazing Sarina Baptista, and the lovely light-filled Jamie Butler. She also studied a form of Hawaiian Bodywork, Sacred Lomi with Tom and Donna Cochran.

Most recently, she has become a Certified Intuitive Practitioner studying with Michelle Despres, an incredibly gifted Colorado psychic/medium and teacher. She is currently taking classes to become a Health and Wellness Coaching.

Jennifer has also volunteered her massage services with Pathways Hospice and is currently starting a Reiki Share group in Loveland, Colorado.
